Mystery Quilt 2021 – Block 10

Welcome back to our Mystery Quilt 2021! Another Day, Another Block – we’re getting there quickly!

For Block 10, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) • 2 blue fabrics • 1 light fabric

Block A Block B

We will be making 12 total Flying Geese Block 10’s: 4 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: • 8 – blue QSTs cut from 2 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A) • 48 – light HSTs cut from 24 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A and B) • 16 – blue QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B)


Our tenth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the rotation of this block around the quilt.


The Rainbow Option:


For Block 10, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Linen Texture” or your favorite collection) • 1 teal fabric • 1 burnt red fabric • 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 12 total Flying Geese Block 10’s: 8 of Block A and 4 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: •    16 – teal QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A) •    32 – light HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) •    8 – burnt red QSTs cut from 2 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B) •    16 – light HSTs cut from 8 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)

Mystery Quilt 2021 – Block 9

Welcome back everyone, and I hope you’re ready for more stitching!

For Block 9, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) • 2 blue fabrics • 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 Quarter Square Triangle (QST) Block 9s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B


Edyta’s Tip: For Block 9, you can also cut just the squares and then follow our YouTube video for a fun technique to make QSTs!


The cutting directions are as listed below: • 16 – light QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A) • 16 – blue QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A) • 16 – light QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B) • 16 – blue QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B)


Our ninth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the rotation of this block around the quilt.

We will be making 16 total Quarter Square Triangle (QST) Block 9s:   8 of Block A, 4 of Block B, and 4 of Block C.

The cutting directions are as listed below: • 20 – light QSTs cut from 5 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A and C) • 16 – blue QSTs cut from 4 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block A) • 12 – light QSTs cut from 3 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B and C) • 8 – gold QSTs cut from 2 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block B) • 8 – red QSTs cut from 2 squares 5-1/4″ (Color Option Block C)

Now position your blocks following the picture above.

Welcome back to our Mystery Quilt 2021! So many blocks are being made and so many wonderful quilting friends are joining us! Thank you for your participation, I am having so much fun with you all.

For Block 8, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) • 3 blue fabrics • 1 light fabric

Block A Block B

We will be making 12 total Block 8’s: 4 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: • 4 – blue squares 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) • 4 – blue HSTs cut from 2 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) • 24 – light HSTs cut from 12 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A and B) • 8 – blue squares 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) • 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)


Our eighth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the position of the blue fabric in the corners.
