I am SEW excited to quilt with you
this Friday, Dec 17th at 11 AM (PST),
during our LIVE show!
We will be quilting together to make
blocks from our Holiday Forest.
If you're quilting along, you will need:
Holiday Forest pattern, your favorite jelly roll, Aurifil thread 2310, Best Press,
For my little forest, I chose the Linen Texture II jelly roll and
2¼ yards of A-9057-L3 for my light background fabric.
We will start by pressing our fabrics with
Best Press, then cut them according to
the first page's directions in our
With a Sewline pencil, we will
mark the stitching line on the
back of the light fabric.
We will repeat this step for all of the
tree sections. Pin pieces together
before sewing on the drawn line.
The tree trunk is great practice
to check your ¼" seam allowance.
This unit should be 7½" unfinished.
Time for trimming!
Once the unit is finished, make sure to press seam allowances toward the dark fabric.
