Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! This is by far my favorite time of the year, I welcome it with open arms and a smile.

I look forward to hanging Christmas Lights.

Maybe buying some new Christmas Ornaments.

Lighting up a star on the tree.

Discovering different kinds of wreaths,

or unusual Christmas blossoms.

I love getting lost in the winter farmers market; shopping…

… and enjoying a homemade loaf of bread,

or some delicious candy canes.

Measuring and baking is a huge part of the preparation for the holidays.

Sometimes we take the easy route to make a gingerbread house (a kit), but it’s still lots of fun to decorate!

The gingerbread was not only a favorite in the kitchen this season, but in my sewing room as well. I love these little guys!

For the last few weeks I have been enjoying my new winter fabrics “Snowbird” along with a little bit of sewing. The “Snowbird” collection is filled with winter blues and creamy lights (batiks and prints), perfect for preparing next seasons projects as these fabrics will be available June 2014.

We have had some pretty bad weather lately, the most recent ice storm bent the branches just like the handles on my new “Gift Basket” quilt.

The weather was too cold for any flowers, except for those in my new “Blue Bells” quilt.

The ice sparkled just like the Shining Star from my new “Gingerman Trio” pattern.

I even had time for creating something “little” with some of the scraps I had left over, a small version of the “Gift Basket” quilt.

I have packed the “Snowbird” scraps that are left into 12 bags. Please leave me a comment by midnight January 5th and after a random drawing maybe one of these bags will be sledding your way to enjoy!

Thank you for visiting our blog this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!  Edyta
