Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!
I love how quickly I was able to decorate this year for Valentine’s Day with just a few pillows and one of my favorite quilts.
Our Little Sweetheart collection was perfect for these sweet little projects. Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, Fat Eighth Bundles and Silhouettes, it was like a candy box with so many goodies to choose from!
The first project on my honey-do-list was this “Heart to Heart” Pillow from our Love Bird Trio pattern. This one can be made with just one charm pack, a little extra light fabric for backing and pink fabric for the binding.
If you love this project and have a little bit more time, our “Sweetheart” pattern is a perfect project for a Layer Cake and the hearts are a little bit better. You may want to get a stencil to draw all these hearts, our Sweetheart Stencils come with 3 different size hearts on it.
The second project on my honey-do-list is this cute pillow inspired by one of my books, “Sew In Love”. This book is full of wonderful blocks and one of them is applique.
I am head over heels in love with these applique shapes and how easy it was to make other designs with them because,
there is a “Sew In Love” applique silhouette set. If you have never used Applique Silhouettes before, this one is perfect for a first date!
Above is shown how I position the “Sew in Love” silhouette pieces on an 18″ pillow background. I decided upon a heart shape layout, but do what your heart desires, the possibilities are endless – wreaths, swags, or whatever you imagine. (Pillow direction to complete the pillow can be found in our “Love Bird Trio” pattern)
It will pull your heart strings to know that there are matching Aurifil thread set for stitching around the edges of your Applique Silhouettes.

I LOVE simple quilts that are made from layer cakes or jelly rolls. I know I am not suppose to choose favorites but I am a secret admirer of our Cranberry Chain pattern. What I love about this pattern is that it includes directions for 3 quilt sizes. The quilt pictured above is 72″ X 72″ and I made this one for somebody super special.
My honey-do-list is complete!
Time to enjoy a little time off,
with my new “Labor of Love” quilt (pattern and fabrics available soon),
and one of my little sweethearts! (and his favorite quilt “Honeymoon”)
Again, I wish you a Happy Valentines Day and hope you have a chance to
share a little love with your someone special too!
Happy Quilting! Edyta XOXO
