Our Super Bloom Block of the Month (BOM) is blossoming right in front of us with every block.
Once again, we will be starting with our fabric. You can use a pre-cut kit or fabric from our Super Bloom collection. Don’t forget the Super Bloom pattern for all cutting and assembly directions.
I am so happy I have a big spool of Aurifil 2312 as I am planning to do a lot of sewing this weekend 🙂
Select and arrange 1 pink and 1 light triangle.
Sew them together, press seam allowance toward the pink, and trim to make a Half Square Triangle (HST) Unit.
Arrange 2 of the pink and light HST units with 2 light squares, as shown above.
Sew them into rows, sew rows together, then press and trim to create Unit A.
Arrange 1 dark blue triangle and 1 light triangle.
Sew them together, press seam allowance toward the dark, and trim.
Arrange 2 of the dark blue and light HST units with 2 light squares, as shown above. Sew them into rows, sew rows together, then press and trim to create Unit B.
Arrange 2 of the dark and light HST units with 1 light and 1 blue square, as shown above. Sew them into rows, sew rows together, then press and trim to create Unit C.
Arrange 1 dark blue triangle and 1 light triangle.
Sew them together, press seam allowance toward the dark, and trim.
Arrange 1 dark blue and light HST unit with 2 light triangles as shown above.
Place pieces right sides together, pin, and sew.
Push your seam allowance toward the triangle.
Place pieces right sides together, pin, and sew. Push the seam allowance toward the triangle.
Add a large blue triangle to the unit. Push the seam allowance toward the blue triangle. Press and trim with your ruler to make Unit D.
Arrange 1 Unit A, 1 Unit C, and 2 Unit D.
Sew into rows, sew rows together, press and trim! Make 2 of these blocks.
Arrange 1 Unit A, 1 Unit B, and 2 Unit D. Sew into rows, sew rows together, press and trim. Make 2 of these blocks.
Arrange all 4 blocks and sew together as shown above.
Block 3 will look so beautiful in your quilt…
